So why start a website?
Hello and welcome to my site!
At this point, when I consider my journey from first wanting to be an actor, going to drama school, setting myself up and getting a few credits under my belt- that journey has covered 14 years. So why start a website now?
Very recently, I finished the biggest job I’ve ever done thus far: Billionaire Boy. Since the summer of 2019, and through all the difficulties these past few years have thrown at us, I have had this show firmly set in my head and planted in my diary. It was the most fabulous, intense and surprising journey from start to finish- I never thought that show would be in my life for as long as it was and I certainly didn’t expect the recognition we received over the years.
But, at the end of something like that, it’s very difficult to answer the question, ‘Where do I go from here?’. In fact, I think it’s the question almost every actor faces on a regular basis. How do you keep reinventing yourself and yet maintain an established reputation? The world of acting and performance is constantly evolving and knowing where to place yourself seems like the most impossible question some days.
So I figured that, on top of Spotlight and IMDB and all the other sites with a professional, uniform format, it would be useful to create a space where you could get to know me as an individual actor. Where I could pay homage to my favourite projects, share stories about my career and focus all the relevant information into one place. On this site, you will be able to access an account of my career highlights, links to the films I’ve starred in, clips of my work- everything that I think sums me up as an actor.
And you will be able to access this blog! Not a hugely exciting prospect, I realise- but hopefully you will be able to see a little bit of who I am and the things I value. Because that’s what this industry is at the end of the day- a big melting pot full of individuality and ideas. I strongly believe that the work of drama in our society is more important than ever and all I really want at the end of it all is to have played some part in it.
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy my work!
